Methods
  • Mountian lions are captured and fitted with radio collars. Over 100 lions have been collared.

  • Movements of lions are monitored regularly to determine how they move within their home range.

  • Kill and cache sites are investigated to learn where lions hunt successfully.

Dr. Laundré takes tissue samples
from a sedated mountain lion's ear.

Samples are taken to a lab for
DNA research.
