MOUNTAIN LION August 11-22, 1999 |
| ||||||||
Young male lions disperse at around 2 years old, some up to 100 miles.
To disperse successfully, lions need to be able to move between habitat patches.
Male mountain lions need an area that encompasses the home ranges of 3 - 4 females.
Habitat fragmentation impacts the ability of young lions to disperse successfully.
